For smaller projects, this epoxy is good enough. A 1:1 ratio type of epoxy, fairly thick, like a table-top type of resin. The ad says this is UV stable, and so far it has stayed clear, time will tell. More expensive to buy in smaller units, but if you don't need a gallon, it will just be waste anyway, so it might end up being less spending, easier to spend $20 on a small amount needed, versus getting the bulk pack at lower cost per volume.

"This was very easy to mix and use, held its color, and seems to be very durable. The mixing process was simple by following the directions. This is great for a table project or anything else where epoxy is to be used."

“I got this epoxy kit to use over a wood coffee table. My coffee table has been refinished several times over the years with conventional wood finishes and I was tired of it always being scratched or blemished. So, I decided to try this before throwing it out since its oak wood and its hard to find quality furniture. After stripping the top and sanding it smooth I did stain it back to original color, and then finished it with this epoxy, which turned out good.I have polished it some with a buffer after it cured to get out some trash and shine it up.Would I do it again?Absolutely, as it worked great.”

I purchased this for use in preserving some flowers from my daughter's bridal bouquet to make gifts for family members. I had only worked with resin one time before and did not have a great experience with it. So, I was looking for a project kit that touted easy use. This one fit the bill. The kit includes several measuring cups and all the tools you need to appropriate mix the two solutions. The result is clear resin with few bubbles, although I did notice that more bubbles occurred when mixing smaller amounts. But that certainly could have been user error since I'm still a beginner.

This kit produces two gallons of mixed epoxy and it is easy to mix and pour as long as you remember the basics of mixing it gently to avoid bubbles but mixing it well, pouring it slowly to avoid bubbles, and using exact ratios of one to one. The epoxy is clear and cures hard as expected. It can easily be mixed with colors for the desired effects. It has a low odor and claims to be non-toxic but I would still use it in well-ventilated locations to be on the safe side. The kit includes what you need to get started, including measuring cups, stirrers, and spreaders.

This Arkenstone Epoxy Resin kit is perfect for large and small projects such as frames or small items that set up in a mold. There are several attractive colors included, rubber gloves, drop cloths, 2 mixing spoons, 2 spreaders and 10 graduated mixing cups. The instructions are generic on pouring epoxy resin. The booklet does mention that a heat gun will be needed to get the air bubbles out of the resin after the pour so be sure to have this tool handy. After mixing there is approximately 1/2 hour in time until the resin begins to set up. That's plenty of time to accomplish several small projects. For all that is included in this kit the price is very fair. There most likely will be left over colors because each packet has a good amount included. I used this kit to make a cutting board that sits on top of our sink. The colors all blended very well and epoxy set us as expected. I am happy to recommend this Epoxy Resin Kit! 10 Stars!!
